The event celebrates the effort to educate students about the dangers of smoking. It is sponsored by the county departments of Recreation and Health and Human Services, in addition to Students Oppose Smoking, the Youth Advisory Committee and the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Registration recently began for a 500 hour massage therapy program in April at Hill College. The noncredit program includes health and hygiene, anatomy and physiology, business practices, kinesiology, pathology, hydrotherapy and massage therapy fundamentals and may also include an internship.
